As coffee shops are growing around the community, students are flocking to them to check out the new business and what they have to offer. Whether that is just buying the drinks, studying there or even working at them. Casper has more than twenty shops with plenty of drinks to choose from.
A new shop in town called 7brew is located on the corner of Southeast Wyoming Boulevard and Cy Avenue and opened on June 10th this past summer. It has become a very popular place to be. By taking a quick look at their unique drink combinations, you can see why it is so popular.
Kamryn Walker, a senior, is an original opening employee and is the shift lead at 7brew.
“I really enjoy working at 7brew, it’s a very welcoming and positive environment, I have the best coworkers and boss that I see more as family than just people I work with,” Walker said.
For Walker, this was not just a place to earn money but instead a place that she felt comfortable in. Leaving an overall good impression on her as she continues working.
“I think 7brew is a great place for students especially to help them come out of their shell and be able to have a community that accepts you for who you are,” Walker said.
Another coffee place that was added recently is called Sips, it has locations all over Wyoming and recently added another location on Heathrow Avenue. The grand opening occurred on September 20th and is already a popular place for people who have begun trying all their options.
One of their regular customers is Breckyn Fagot, a sophomore here at Kelly Walsh High School. She explained how just grabbing a coffee to go can flip someone’s whole day around.
“If I am being honest, I do not think I could go a full school year without getting a nice, sweet cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Going to Sips at 7:45 before school just gets me ready for the day and gives me the energy to learn new things. Not only does an iced blondie taste delicious, but it also helps me stay focused during a full day of learning and growing,” Fagot said.
The truth is that Casper has a lot of great places to go to get their fix on caffeinated (or decaffeinated) drinks and enjoy unique atmospheres. It all depends on where you live and what you prefer when choosing which one you will like best.
